SPECIAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD FOR MEDICARE PART B RUNS THROUGH SEPT. 30, 2024
As a result of the Postal Service Reform Act of 2022, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in conjunction with the USPS have implemented a new Postal Service Health (PSHB) Program as required under the new law, including a Medicare part B Special Enrollment Period for USPS annuitants and their eligible family members. The special enrollment period runs through Sept. 30, 2024.
Who is eligible to apply?
If you and your eligible family members were entitled to Medicare Part A as of Jan. 1, 2024 you may be entitled to apply for Medicare Part B during the Special Enrollment Period without paying a late enrollment penalty.
